Indian Ruins, Petroglyphs, Cliff Dwellings, Craters, and A Natural Wonder!
The Grand Canyon
Grand Canyon - the Big Daddy of tourism in Arizona, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. The South Rim is the most accessible, is open all year and is approximately a 2 1/2 hour drive from our park. One of our residents always makes it a day trip for her out of town visitors - she says she even stops for breakfast, does a picnic lunch in the canyon and stops for dinner on the way home.
Tuzigoot National Monument
Tuzigoot is a small National Monument, one of several sites near Camp Verde where the remains of dwellings of the 12th century Sinagua Indians are preserved.

Wupatki National Monument consists of many ruins (unlike most sites which contain only one main ruin site) scattered over a large area of desert northeast of Flagstaff. Thought to have been inhabited by the Anasazi as well as the Sinagua Indians, it is believed the present day Hopi were descended from these former inhabitants of this region. Back to Top of Page
For Petroglyphs, V-Bar-V Ranch is an excellent site to visit. Ongoing archaelogical studies and research enrich the experience.
